Licensure • California requirements: 1,500 intern hours prior to graduation (900 by self; 600 through the pharmacy curriculum) • Internship hours calculated starting P-1 year • Licensure examinations NAPLEX (North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination) & CPJE(California Pharmacist Jurisprudence Exam)

Prerequisite Coursework • All prerequisites must be completed at a regionally accredited U.S. institution(exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis) • Advanced Placement (AP) credit is accepted for all prerequisite courses. AP credit must be reported by subject and credits, and come directly from your institution or testing service • Prerequisite courses and AP credit scores must be completed no more than ten years prior to planned date of matriculation. • All prerequisites must be completed with a grade of “C” or better • All prerequisites must be completed by the end of the springterm prior to matriculation • Courses may not be taken on a pass/fail • All coursework taken from non-US institutions must be submitted to an approved service for evaluation

Admissions Requirements • In addition to course requirements: • Minimum Overall and Science GPA is 2.75 • Average competitive overall GPA is 3.36 • Average competitive science GPA is 3.29 • 3 letters of reference (professors, academic advisors, employers, pharmacists) • Personal questionnaire • Transcripts
Admissions Process • Interviews • By invitation, based on file evaluation score • Interviews - multiple interviewers (a faculty member and a current student/alumni/preceptor) • Emphasis is on communication and interpersonal skills • Writing sample • Status letters sent out by March • accepted, alternate list, not accepted
