  8. Salpa Line • The Salpa Defence Line extending for a total of 1200 kilometres • The line was built in 1940–1941 and completed in 1944, at the end of the Continuation War

  9. Bunker Museum Open 1995 Vetaraanipuisto (War veteran park) The Salpa Line has always been considered as one of the strongest fortified defence lines built during the Second World War

  20. War history • War history is presented in exhibitions in Carelicum and in Bunker Museum • Activ local researhers (books, researhes) • a plenty of local volunteers in national defense associaties (own organisations, exhibitions) • Museum makes cooperation with researhers and volunteers
