  1. Head Office – Case Study Make the most of your energy

  2. Studying Utility Bill Consumption Fixed Costs

  3. Consumption Summary Seasonal Load Analysis Consumption kWh Bill divided to two main Parts Fixed Costs

  4. Lighting Control After Before Offices No supervision or control Setup an operating schedule On 24/7 Basement Setup operating strategy Outside Lighting manually operated Installing Control System saving will be around 57%from the Lighting consumption which is about 20% from total consumption monthly

  5. Lighting Effect Graph 21006 16209

  6. HVAC System Insulation CHWS CHWR CHW Pumps Fan Coil Unit Air Cooled Chiller Air Handling Unit

  7. Opportunities of Saving in HVAC System Chiller Tuning Kwh Chillers • 2 Chillers each is 250 ton Setpoints Air Handling Units • 4 AHU’s with different capacities Fan Coil Units • 109 FCU’s with different capacities Time Building Envelope • Doors, infiltrations and windows saving will be 14%from the consumption of the chiller and 1%from the total consumption

  8. Opportunities of Saving in HVAC System Opportunity -we have different sizes of FCU’s each have different Capacity with a specified amount of water for each Capacity Audit action: -balancing the system by adjusting the amount of water Entering each fan Chillers • 2 Chillers each is 250 ton Air Handling Units • 4 AHU’s with different capacities Fan Coil Units • 109 FCU’s with different capacities Building Envelope Saving will be 6% from total consumption • Doors, infiltrations and windows

  9. Opportunities of Saving in HVAC System Opportunities: 1- AHU serving Training room 2- AHU serving LAB Recommendations: 1- For Training room installing 2 split units and occupancy sensors in which the payback will be with in 12 months. 2- For LAB installing occupancy sensor in which the payback Period will be a month. Chillers • 2 Chillers each is 250 ton Air Handling Units • 4 AHU’s with different capacities Fan Coil Units • 109 FCU’s with different capacities Building Envelope saving will be around 33% of the Air Handling Units Consumption and3% from total consumption • Doors, infiltrations and windows

  10. Opportunities of Saving in HVAC System Doors: -the building had 139 doors. Infiltration: -parts of the suspended ceiling is opened. Windows: -windows subjected to direct sunlight with no curtains gain a lot of heat. Chillers • 2 Chillers each is 250 ton Air Handling Units • 4 AHU’s with different capacities Fan Coil Units • 109 FCU’s with different capacities Building Envelope • Doors, infiltrations and windows All the above lead’s to reach the setpoint due to heat loss which make the system run in it’s maximum capacity

  11. Recommendations -Peak shaving using PLC with BMS and it’s payback will be in a month Consumption 6194 KW 5434 Bill divided to two main Parts Zero Fixed Costs Saving will be 6%from the average monthly bill

  12. Saving summary in bills & ROI investment calculations
