  1. Newton’s Second Law Your Name Here

  2. 3 pts 3 pts Learning the Force Simulator:Click Me For Game! • Learn where the controls are to change objects, add/remove friction, and view graphs Screenshot where you would change objects here Screenshot where you would add/remove friction here Screenshot where you would view graphs here

  3. Setting up the Force Simulator:Click Me For Game! • Create the following set up: • Crate • Original Position = 0 • Graph Acceleration and Force • No Friction • Applied Forces • Push the crate with any force so it starts moving • Use the playback and pause button to find your highest force • Calculate the acceleration it took to reach that force • Those numbers go into the data table (Slide 5)

  4. Applied Force = 490 N Mass = 300 kg Acceleration: a=F/m a=490/300 a=1.63 m/s2 Graphed Acceleration = 1.6 m/ss YAY!!!! Measured at peaks!! Playback!!

  5. 12 pts Playing with theForce Simulator:Click Me For Game!

  6. 3 pts Thinking About theForce Simulator:Click Me For Game! • Q: From the previous slide, is the ratio of the force to the acceleration constant? • A: • Q: What does this tell you about the relationship between force and acceleration? • A:
