11. Spring-Fall 2013 608.5.1 – The quota per nation is max 4 U14 (K1) and 6 U16 (K2) resulting in the total number of max. 10 competing athletes per nation. No more than 4 athletes of the same gender may be registered within each category. The organizing nation is entitled to a double quota that is maximum 20 competing athletes. 14. Spring-Fall 2013 The following Rules proposal has been tabled to Spring. Art 614.2.4 Competing with one Ski. If a competitor loses a ski without having committed a gate fault or without coming to a complete stop he may continue as long as he does not interfere with the run of the next competitor or has not been passed by the next competitor. Spring-Fall 2013 • 1226.3 False Start Penalties will occur: • 1226.3.1 if the competitor goes through the gate before the start command • 1226.3.2 if the competitor does not have both ski poles set behind the closed gate. • 1226.3.3 if the competitor uses the start gates for assistance. 19. Spring-Fall 2013 • 1229 Timing • As the start is simultaneous, only the difference in time between the competitors at the finish will be registered. With several electric eyes and an automatic print-out, the first competitor that breaks one of the signals starts the chronometer and receives the time "zero", the following competitors stop successively the clocks (chronometers) and receive the time difference in 1/100-seconds to the first competitor. • As in Parallel Events two Competitors race side by side; it is possible to measure either the difference in time (at Finish) or the individual run times (Start to Finish). If run times are measured, the difference in time has to be calculated from the run times (in 1/100th seconds). The Jury has to announce at the concerning Team Captains Meeting, which timing method will be used. • For some special events (NTE) running times may be used to determine rankings (break ties or the award of prizes). 25. WORLD CUP 18.4.1 Termination and classification of a competition The jury is authorised to terminate a competition and to decide, if the race is to be classified. A competition can be terminated, if the competitors are endangered by external disturbing influences, if conditions are irregular or the proper running of the race is no longer guaranteed (for example through fog, wind gusts, rain, etc.) and a completion of the race on the same day under regular conditions can no longer be expected. There is no right of appeal under art. 647 of the ICR in regard to termination. 18.5.2 A competition that only consists of one run can be classified if at least the best 30 on the start list have started. HELMET STICKER Stickers were different in 2012-2013 6.4 Season 2014/15 The new helmet -rules (art. 6.2.1) are valid for DH/SG/GS at all FIS levels from the start of the competition season in the northern hemisphere. CONTROL OF SKIS • 627 Not Permitted to Start A competitor will not be permitted to start in any FIS International Ski competition who: 627.2 violates the FIS rules in regard to equipment (art. 222) or commercial markings (art. 207) • 628 Penalties A penalty will be assessed by the Jury especially where the competitor: • 628.14 has actually started in a competition and is later determined by the Jury to have been in violation of art 627 rules. 34. CONTROL OF SKIS Avoid the problem – A Possible Protocol for TD • TD, initial contact with ROC, discuss the rule and need to control. Race Notice should note controls in place. • Should discuss/Agree method of control – If possible assign a person well before start to inspect and ensure skis are marked in compliance BY MANUFACTURER – no self marking. • Locate so as not to interfere with those starting. • Explain Rule and method of Control at each TC Meeting • Any discovery of racer who in fact started TD obligated to follow Rule, Confiscate and send to FIS. • Rule 226.1 – Only FIS Experts may measure Canadian Snowsports Association Dave Pym Managing Director

35. COC 2.1. Basic Quota Each nation is entitled to a basic quota of two (2), three (3) in DH event,, on condition that these competitors have a maximum of 120 FIS points (SAC, ANC 140 FIS points in SL or GS, 160 FIS points in SG, DH or SC) on the valid FIS points list, as follows: - Slalom and Giant Slalom: in any of the five events - Downhill and Super Combined (with DH): in Downhill or Super-G - Super-G and Super Combined (with SG): in Downhill, Super-G or Giant Slalom. INSURANCE • All USSA and CAN FIS Events are fully insured for Liability. • Master COI Attached and also provided on Request. • All CAN Coaches/Officials/TD’s/Inspectors insured for duties officially assigned by CAN. • All CAN FIS Athletes carry full Accident Insurance – including Mountain Rescue, Heli-Evacuation, Return to Canada, Re Patriation and all Medical costs.
