  1. Exoskeletal supported /actuator driven prosthesis for paralytic patients Abdul Nawfar Sadagatullah Hand and Microsurgeon/Orthopaedic surgeon Department of Orthopaedic, PPSP nawfar@kb.usm.my

  2. Objective • To design wearable exoskeletal support to give motion for paralysed limbs

  3. The number of patients with brachial plexus injuries is ever increasing in Malaysia. The surgical options available are limited and not very rewarding if not done early. • An exoskeletal supported robotic appendage will be a viable option for activities of daily living and function

  4. A Study of an EMG-Based Exoskeletal Robot for Human Shoulder Motion SupportKazuo KIGUCHI1), Koya IWAMI1), Keigo WATANABE1) and Toshio FUKUDA2)1) Department of Advanced Systems Control Engineering, Saga University2) Center of Cooperative Research in Advanced Science and Technology, Nagoya University

  5. outcome of the projects • The tech is still reseach level and not commercialized in Japan and Germany. • I believe we will be competitive to develop the technology for regional dominance. • Later on to develop a bio neural interface to connect and command the motion of robots.
