EXTERNAL FUNDRAISING • Consult the many sources of funders • Compile a reference list of the best • Speak to them and ask: • Do they fund your sort of project? • Any specific criteria or priorities? • Can you get a copy of their policies? • Do they have an application form? • How much can you apply for? • When do they next meet? • Date of their deadline?
Trusts meet several times a year – don’t rush to make an average submission. • Take your time to make an excellent submission. • Don’t wait till the deadline. • Getting a scheme approved is a competition not a lottery; only the best are likely to be approved. Make yours one of the best!
