WMO’s Goals and purposes • To provide a rapid and free exchange of meteorological and hydrological information. • To further the application of meteorology to water problems, agriculture and other human activities. • To reduce the impact of weather-related hazards, through regular and reliable forecasts and warnings. • To prevent and mitigate natural disasters.
