4. Use figurative language Examples: • Similes • Metaphors
Simile Makes a comparison using “like” or “as” Example: Johnny is as stubborn as a mule.
Metaphor Makes a comparison of two unlikely things without using “like” or “as” Example: Don’t be such a pig. Leave some for the rest of us.
