  5. Become involved

  6. Volunteer • Here are some ways in which you can help: • Volunteer on a weekly basis (same time, same day). Remember to fill out the form. • Become a homeroom parent (plan parties, call for volunteers, start the phone tree, etc.) • Volunteer for special events (could be messy) • Come and have lunch with your child (no reservations needed (unless you want to order lunch)

  8. Homework • There will be homework every day, Monday through Thursday. • Please check your child’s homework planner and sign every night. • Word Study • Cursive • Math • Reading • Other Projects (Occasionally)

  9. Donate materials

  10. Party supplies • Classroom supplies • Tissues • Materials related to the units

  12. Come in for lunch. • Come in to the classroom and visit for a while. • Visit our web page. • Stop by and say hello at the end of the day.

  16. Specials • Tuesday – Music 11:00 – 11:40 • Wednesday – Library (10:20-11:00) • Thursday – Art (10:30-11:10) • Friday - PE (8:50-9:30) • Lunch – 12:30-1:05 • Recess – T,W,Th. 11:40 – 12:10, M 12:00-12:30 (No recess on Fridays)

  17. Technology • This year we are piloting the use of iPads in third grade. • Using IXL • Google Docs • Presentations (using Pages) • Apps for extensions • Research
