What are the aims of Dixie’s LPN program? • Each semester 40 students are admitted to the LPN program. These students are picked based on their GPA, recommendations/references, essay, PSB test score. They are picked because they are the best, with the highest determination and dedication. • The LPN program is designed to teach basic nursing skills, teach about the nursing process, and improve these skills through clinical and lab setting practice. • The program helps to prepare the student to pass the LPN state boards or PN-NCLEX testing. • The LPN is to prepare the student for completing an Associate Degree of Nursing and achieving a Registered Nurse.
