  11. 1. Aesthetics What is beauty? Can rubbish be organised artistically to be beautiful? Can leaves be ugly?

  12. 2. Ethics Do we need to share? (Year 5) Should we pay for things that are essential?

  13. 3. Epistemology The branch of philosophy that studies knowledge – what distinguishes true (adequate) knowledge from false (inadequate) knowledge? 4. Metaphysics Branch of philosophy concerned with explaining the fundamental nature of being and the world - two key questions: ‘what is there?’ and, ‘what is it like?’ Can we have litter in nature? Do we really see what is there? Why do people see places as special? Does having lots of food make you happy?

  14. 5. Logic More typical you see logic in answering a question Why do some places have to be rich and some poor? If you are scared of something does that mean you don’t like it? Can you be working hard if you are doing something easy? Is it fair to do something unfair, for a reason?
