A framework for good practice and action • No Secrets DoH guidance 2000 – support • Provides effective outcomes for service users • Assists practitioners to feel confident and competent in dealing with difficult safeguarding dilemmas • Joint working - NO agency works in isolation, and decision making is shared. • Research indicates effectiveness of joint working

Safeguarding Adults Board • Meets on a quarterly basis • SAB Sub-Groups – training (ensures we meet local needs as well as statutory/contractual needs) • Representation – we need your help! • Independent representation from local service providers (from all sectors eg residential care, domiciliary care etc that support vulnerable adults eg older people, learning disabilities, sensory etc) • Commitment - Meets quarterly, represent local service provider views/needs and cascade information to other service providers within the county

SoVA and MCA/DoLS Training Courses • SoVA/MCA/DoLSAwareness • More in depth courses eg Professional Responsibilities, Initial Investigations, Management Responsibilities, Level 2 MCA/DoLS • Additional support courses eg Domestic Abuse and Violence, Supporting Victims of Abuse • Bespoke training courses
