  1. Welcome Back Kappa Pi! August 31, 2011

  2. Business • $35 for new members • $20 for returning members • $15 for associate members • Please Bring dues to the next meeting! • Attendance: Each member is allotted 2 absences per semester • Volunteering: Each member must complete 2 hours of community service associated with Kappa Pi per semester • Events: Each member must attend two events. This includes but is not limited to gallery/museum visits, second Friday artwalks, yoga in the galleries at the Ackland per semester • All members are required to attend ALL Artery openings. This DOES NOT count as an event

  3. September Events • 6th: Yoga in the Galleries 12-1pm • 10th: Second Friday Art Walk • 15th: Exhibition Opening at the Nasher: The Deconstructive Impulse • 20th: Yoga in the Galleries 12-1pm • 22nd: Nasher Free Film: Women Art in Revolution 7-8:30pm • 27th: Curator Talk at the Nasher about Becoming: Photographs from the Wedge Collection 7-8:30pm

  4. Interest Meeting • Wednesday, September 7th Hanes Art Center Room 218 at 7:30pm • This is not a required event; however, it would be wonderful if you could spread the word about Kappa Pi and the interest Meeting. Making announcements in intro level art and art history courses is specifically helpful.

  5. Volunteering • Art History Tutoring for Art 151 and Art 152 • Festifall: Activity ideas? Sunday, Oct. 2 • Kappa Pi + The Art Center • Pit sitting to solicit votes for the Pepsi Refresh grant • First two Fridays in September
