Artlift • 7 residencies in Gloucestershire (held in GP surgeries, Community Centres, Hospitals…) • Seven-year track record • 1,000 patients referred, over 700 complete data sets • 8 artists – fine art, poetry/writing, ceramics, mixture • 4 outcome measures – self esteem score, GP consult rate, healthspend, focus groups (Qualitative) • Referrals come from a range of professional routes • Artlift programme brings all sections of the community together
Cost headlines • Total hospital admissions reduced from 54 to 33 • No significant differences in A&E or Outpatient spend • Total costs reduced by £38,622 for 90 patients • 35% reduction in hospital admission costs
Wiltshire • Art on prescription project commissioned by Wiltshire Council. • Pilot at Whiteparish surgery (South East Wilts) starting 6th October 2014 – Two terms of 10 weeks. • Two additional programmes to be set up in other surgeries. • Evaluation : short interim report by end of January 2015, full evaluation report provided at the end of the project. • Are you a GP or Health Practitioner based in Wiltshire?
