Mission Statement It is the mission of Salem Schools to educate all students by providing a challenging curriculum that promotes higher-order thinking skills, technology integration, and problem-solving through relevant and engaging activities. We will provide the experiences necessary for all students to become college and career ready.

  4. B.) Curriculum • Arkansas Standards • Provide students with technical school opportunities • ASUMH • Ozarka- Welding ( on the Salem High School Campus) • Ozarka- Computer Science Courses ( on the Salem High School Campus)

  7. C.)Student Achievement Continued. • ACT Academy- 46 Students participated with an average composite score of 22. The National average composite was a 21 in 2019. • Salem High School Received an “A” Rating from the Arkansas Department of Education for the last two school years. The reports for the 2018-2019 school year have not been released.

  8. D.) Goals • Improve math, literacy, and science skills- with a special interest on the Targeted Achievement Gap Group ( TAGG). • The TAGG group is our Special Education students and students classified as Low- socioeconomic status. • Improve student achievement in all areas for all subgroups.

  9. E.) Miscellaneous • October 15, 2019 is the fall Parent Teacher Conference night from 3:00 pm- 7:00 pm. • March 12, 2020 is the spring Parent Teacher Conference night from 3:00 pm- 7:00 pm.
