Pre-cycling in 2008 • During the first days of commissioning: • Poor pre-cycling discipline • MBs cycled to different flat top currents: • HWC constraints • Pre-cycle not generated with correct current • MQ: • Due to good machine behavior pre-cycle was skipped.
Pre-cycling in 2008 • During the first days of commissioning: • Other Circuits: • in general only separators and IPQs were pre-cycled • correctors sometimes skipped • Some correctors, orbit correctors and octupoles were missed. • Warm magnets • Triplets were done by hand (fixed now). • Software was still being debugged
Pre-cycling in LSA • Flat top currents can be explicitly defined as an attribute • PNO current can also be used from LSA database as a fraction of the defined FT current. • Different magnets of the same class can have different FT currents.
