  1. Zipping,Zapping,Zoom-ming! Have you ever gone into a cave and you saw baby bats? If you have, DO NOT disturb them because the mother will fly away and the pups will starve. Bat pups hang together in large groups called nurseries.

  2. Bats are mammals! • If you do see pups ,never touch or bother them. Leave quickly and quietly. Bats are mammals. They are the only flying animal that nurse.

  3. Feeding • The mother’s bodies make milk to feed their babies. • Each mother returns to feed her pup at least twice a night. • The pups need their mother’s milk to survive. Good Job!
