  4. Increased Student Needs • Ready for the challenge • Meet students where they are • Set high expectations • Provide support – engagement • Use research and data to drive decisions

  5. Increased Competition • Learn from competition • Deliver our message • College of the community – Our college • Delivering results • Don’t have to pretend

  6. Increased Accountability • Quality means building on strengths • Celebrate strengths • Use data to show progress and drive change • Set realistic goals • Involve the entire college

  7. Local Reality • I have more questions than answers • Need to listen and get college involved • Initial observations • Age demographics – serve the entire district • Population growth – growth of Latino population • Income disparity • Few large employers
