  3. Valley Glacier- river of ice in mountainous areas. It carves a U-shape into a mountain valley.

  6. Cirque- bowl-shaped valley formed where glacier begins

  12. Esker- long ridge left behind when ice inside a tunnel of sand and gravel melts

  13. Outwash Deposits- material left behind by the meltwater that comes from the foot of the glacier

  14. Kettle Lakes- round water-filled depressions that form when buried blocks of ice melt.

  15. Drumlins- elongated hills formed from glacial sediment.

  16. Fjord- a long narrow inlet that has been gouged by glaciers and filled by the sea
