Working with industry “The construction industry has the ability to adopt improvement programmes as can be seen by the wholehearted adoption of safety management but this sole focus on safety does not go far enough. The aerospace and automotive industries are just two of the sectors that are reaping huge benefits from the implementation of formalised quality management programmes, including increased efficiency, productivity and staff morale. At the moment, the industry does not take quality management programmes seriously enough. Crossrail has entered into a partnership with the Chartered Quality Institute to support and increase awareness and use of quality management in our supply chain.” Andrew Wolstenholme, Crossrail Chief Executive • Construction • Defence • Healthcare • Pharmaceutical • Nuclear • Education • Next Generation • Oil & Gas
