Myth 1- Apollo seeked vengeance on the snake Python (Hera’s snake) because it tried to kill Leto, his mother. He killed Python with Hephaestus’s bow and arrow. Myth 2- Apollo wanted to be the best in every art, but a satyr named Marsyas was just as good as him. Apollo challenged him to a contest. The loser will have a penalty chosen by the winner. Apollo won by cheating, so he skinned Marsyas alive and nailed his skin to a tree. A stream of water gushed out of the tree roots and created a river. Apollo Myths
