Similarities • XML-based interface • Programmatic API • Browser based User Interface (UI) • Available via SPPNet and Internet • Certificates used for authentication and authorization • LSA assigns roles for each user • Users may query for the following types Market data • Private data (e.g. data previously submitted or asset owner specific market results) • Notification data (i.e., data issued as notifications to all participants) • Public data (e.g. market clearing prices). • Notification Push Process • 1 Primary and up to 9 additional Participant listeners can be registered per notify service for each Asset Owner • Retry attempts for failed notifications to the Primary listener
Differences • Services partitioned into logical subsets • Energy, Virtual, Reserve, etc. • Low level operations for Resource Offers • Allows user to update individual parameters without resubmitting the whole resource offer • Composite operation is also available to submit the complete resource offer • Authorized users can programmatically manage Notification listeners per notify service for each Asset Owner • Add, remove and query listeners • Set priority for each listener (primary, secondary, additional) Note: The same listener URL can be assigned to multiple notify services • Delete operations available for Demand Bids, Virtual Bids/Offers and Notification Listeners • Asynchronous credit approval response from MUI for Virtual Bid/Offer submissions
