Optimization of the diesel operating process Student: AndreyGubanov Group: E2-18 Scientific adviser: Myagkov L.L. Language adviser:Bykovskaya L.I.
Contents • Object of the investigation; • Purpose and restrictions; • Optimized parameters; • Turbocharger; • Structural analysis; • Results.
1. Object of the investigation • 1.5L 4-stroke diesel engine; • 4 inline cylinders • Ne = 32.7kWt at 4500 rpm 1.1 Diesel engine
2. Purpose and restrictions Purpose:Ne = 82.5kWt Restrictions: • Pz= 180 bar; • Pinj= 2000 bar; • Matching Euro-5 ecological standard.
4.1 Turbocharger • πk =2.5; • G = 0.114 kg/s; • N = 153 000 rpm; • η = 0.43. 4.1. 3D model of the turbocharger
4.2 Turbocharger Compressor inlet Compressor discharge Charge air cooler Intake manifold Exhaust manifold Turbine inlet Turbine discharge 4.2. The turbo system operation
4.3 Turbocharger 4.3. The turbocharger construction
5. Structural analysis Object: Compressor wheel Material:aluminum alloy n = 1.51 5.1. Stress distribution in the compressor wheel
6.1 Results 6.1. Power capacity (Ne) dependence from revolution rate (n)
6.2 Results Euro-5 6.2. NOx emission dependence from revolution rate (n)
6.3 Results Conclusion. As a result of the optimization the significant increase of power capacity and torque was obtained. The negative result is the system complication and more stringent technical maintenance requirements.
