  3. Introduction du thème • Un pont canal est un ouvrage qui permet de faire passer un canal au dessus d’un ruisseau ou d’une route. Ils permettent de traverser des rivières qui risqueraient de perturber le débit d'eau du canal. En effet, ces rivières se jetant dans le canal provoquent un trop-plein d'eau lors des crues et le comblement du canal par l'apports d'alluvions.
