Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. John 5:19
Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. John 5: 23, 24
I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. John 5:30

Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. John 6: 5-6
Genesis 22:1 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

“Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also with the fish, as much as they wanted.” John 6:11
The people’s response: When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!” Jesus, perceiving then that they were about to come and take them by force to make him king, separated himself and went back up on the mountainside alone. John 6:14-15
