Development of the Training and Education strategy • Training workshop took place in early 2014 with Technical representatives from all areas of Manufacturing and Distribution • Output from workshop recorded and used as the basis of the Saint-Gobain vision for Training and Education
Long Term Vision “Lead the Industry Standard for Construction Training and Education” • Leading the Industry standard for cross brand training and education offer, relating to all Saint-Gobain businesses, their customers and the needs of the market (projects, technology, legislation)
Basic Requirements CREDIBILITY • 3rd party endorsement developed and delivered • Each course endorsed – CITB, City and Guilds, NHBC, SWIGA etc. Access to external funding e.g. PAS 2030, previously only available to colleges INTERNAL EXPERTISE FUNDING PERFORMANCEMONITORED • Training expertise – provided and / or in partnership • An appropriate level of Saint-Gobain education across the brands EXTERNAL EXPERTISE FORMAT • Interactive, On line, mobile phones • Mobile training facilities • Length of course • Saint-Gobain endorsed and consistent training and education partners • e.g. CITB, Colleges and Universities • Responsive to customer requirements • Projects, technology, legislation etc. (research led)
