  3. Background Hello, my name is Ruby China and I am a Film and Media Studies Major. I am of Mexican decent. I was born in Chandler, AZ and am currently living in Mesa, AZ. All of my life I have lived in Arizona, I truly love this place and feel it my home. Moreover, as I was growing up, I didn’t know what to do with my life I always had a career in my mind, but truly never felt butterflies in my stomach when I set my mind to one. However, one day when I was doing my hobby, which was watching movies and watching T.V I discovered my true passion which was Film. From that day on I actually felt the warm feeling that I was looking for all along. Ever since then I have not even for one instant thought about changing my major.

Awards/Honors • Graduated from Mesa High School with: • Scholastic • Honors • Service Community Hours • ASU • Honors Program: Alpha Sigma Delta http://www.asu.edu/clubs/pesald/ Members can walk with pride at graduation ceremonies, indicating their PES and/or ALD memberships and thereby their academic performance, through our honor cords and medallions. (Shown in the photos below.) Students have worn either or both, instead of and/or along with their other honor items (other cords, stoles, etc).

  6. Experience • I have taken several film and media classes • I have also gathered and am up to date on how other studio companies are doing

  7. Skills • Trilingual and know how to read and in: • English • Spanish • Korean • Took a class on Computer Literacy at ASU: • Ex: Word, Power point, Excel… • Played the Violin for 8 years

  8. Future Outlook • Get to participate in many movies • Hope to get a clear view on how the entertainment business works • Plan to make my scripts into movies • Work my hardest to make the best films • Get hired in many foreign countries • Hope to bring many awards to the studio company I will be working for
