Seychely, oficialne Seychelska republika, je ostrovna krajina pozostavajuca zo 115 ostrovov. Vacsina z nich je neobyvana a mnohe su vyclenene ako prirodne rezervacie. Krajina lezi v Indickom oceane a od africkeho kontinentu je vzdialena 1500 km. Najvacsim ostrovom je Mahe, na ktorom lezi aj hlavne mesto Victoria. Pocet obyvatelov Seychel nedosahuje ani 100 tisic. Az 98 % populacie zije na 44 tzv. vnutornych ostrovoch.   6. Seychelles, officially the Republic of Seychelles, is an island country consisting of 115 islands. Most of them are uninhabited and many are set aside as nature reserves. The country lies in the Indian Ocean and is 1,500 km from the African continent. The largest island is Mahé, on which the capital city of Victoria is located. The population of Seychelles is under 100 thousand. Up to 98 % of the population lives in 44 so-called inner islands. The climate of Seychelles is relatively humid and the temperature varies little throughout the year. The explorer Vasco da Gama discovered Seychelles in 1503. The country gained independence in 1976. Seychelles culture and society is a mixture of French, British and African influences. In 2021, the moutya dance was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO. Since the beginning of the 70s, tourism has become an important economic sector. Seychelles, oficialmente la República de Seychelles, es un país insular que consta de 115 islas. La mayoría de ellos están deshabitados y muchos están reservados como reservas naturales. El país se encuentra en el Océano Índico y está a 1.500 km del continente africano. Až 98 % populácie žije na 44 tzv. vnútorných ostrovoch. Podnebie Seychel je pomerne vlhké a teplota sa počas roka mení len málo. Moreplavec Vascoda Gama objavil Seychely v roku 1503. Nezávislosť získala krajina v roku 1976. Seychelská kultúra a spoločnosť je zmesou francúzskych, britských a afrických vplyvov. V roku 2021 bol na zoznam nehmotného kultúrneho dedičstva UNESCO zaradený historický tanec moutya. Od počiatku 70-tych rokov sa cestovný ruch stal významným hospodárskym odvetvím.
