  42. Has someone pointed out the other party’s flaws and shortcomings? • Does someone understand the other party’s shortcomings better than you? • Will you need to avoid becoming a victim of the other party’s flaws and shortcomings?

  43. Do you suspect someone might have pointed out your flaws and shortcomings? Who? • Who might best help you to avoid becoming a victim of the other party? What special knowledge might they have? • Do you believe the other party might respond to gossip? Why?

  47. Are you free to tell the other party what others have said about them? • Is there a reason you cannot share what you know about the other party? • Is there anything it is better the other party not know?

  48. How will you encourage the other party to share what others have said? • How will you promote honesty and candor? • If you reconcile, will anyone feel left out? • Does someone feel jealous of your relationship with the other party? Who?

  49. If you reconcile, will anyone feel threatened? Who? • Is anyone afraid they’ll be excluded if you make peace? • Who in your environment is insecure? How does insecurity affect them?

  50. Do you have “inside sources of information”? Describe. • How do you typically find out what is really happening with the other party? • Do you have all the information about the other party you will need to resolve this conflict? • How will uncover back channel or hidden communications?
