University HR&DC Curriculum: foundation principles • Interdisciplinarity • Multi-perspectiveness • Multi-method approach • Problem-centredness • Links between formal and non-formal education • Multiple resources for teaching & learning, incl. from research institutions, civil society and ICTs • Improvement through pilot-implementation and (self)evaluation

Objectives, conceptual framework and target groups Main objective designing and implementing an interdisciplinary post-graduate HR&DC curriculum on the basis of research findings on the state-of-the-art and of the domestic, European and international good practice in this field. Conceptual framework active, problem-oriented and critical learning for HR&DC with a triple purpose: • new concepts to be integrated into the existing professional body of knowledge • new skills to enrich the existing methodologicalknowledge and skills of teachers and related professionals • new perspectives to be integrated in the reorganisation of educational and related institutions Target groups teachers and other professionals working in the field of education

The process • Three round-tables on learning HR&DC at the university • Natural Sciences and Learning Human Rights • promote eco-centric approach to human rights as the conceptual framework of an interdisciplinary curriculum • Social Sciences/Humanities and Learning Human Rights • develop a well-balanced approach that combines legal and non-legal (philosophical, anthropological, cultural etc.) dimensions; focus on theory as well as on practice; make use of the examples of good practice in the region and elsewhere • New ICTs and Learning Human Rights • include the right to expression, information and speech, as well as the freedom of media in the interdisciplinary human rights education curriculum for the university; stress the importance of critical reading of media information and the responsibility of journalists; focus in training on practical skills, such as: listening, posing questions, argumentative thinking, discovering bias information, computer use etc. • The analysis of the state-of-the-art in university HR&DC at national and international level • (sister-project) Research on students’ knowledge and attitudes, and on institutional climate
