  5. Taiga Facts 6. The taiga is the largest biome. 7. The taiga is primarily a coniferous forest (evergreen trees with needles). 8. The taiga has fewer animal species than other forests. 9. Disappearing due to extensive logging. 10. Soil low in nutrients. 11. Animals here migrate, hibernate and insulate to survive.
