Problem Statement The problem at hand is that people are not socializing to their ideal extent.
High Level Solution Our mission is to create a tool which helps people increase their amount of social activity by • Helping people find and create new events with minimal effort • Increasing the likeliness that they will participate in social activities they enjoy
Overview • Tasks that be performed with Social Rocket App • Scenarios • Reasoning • Demonstration of app • Current user interface description • Design evolution & reasoning • Ideas for future enhancements • Summary
Task 1 Find an Activity Level: Simple • Scenario: • Performed in the event where the customer wants to find an event to attend in their free time • Reasoning : • Socializing is impeded when people face the challenge of finding an event which • Is enjoyable • They are able to attend • Their friends are available to attend • Social Rocket makes the task of finding an event a simply four-step process which can all be performed from your smartphone
Task 2 Create an Event Level: Complex • Scenario: • Performed in the event where the customer wants to create an event to host • Reasoning : • Hosting events is currently a hassle because currently, the invitation requires extensive coordination of details such as • Time • Place • Activity • People • Social Rocket takes a significant amount of the work out of planning events by putting all the information they want to know during the planning process in one place
Task 3 Rate and Review a Past Event Level: Moderate • Scenario: • Performed in the event where the customer wants to provide feedback to Social Rocket on how well they enjoyed an event attended or hosted with its help • Reasoning : • Currently, when you rate an event, venue, or restaurant, (ie. Yelp) that information is usually used again only when another person seeks it out before attending the same event • Social Rocket takes the information you input about a past event to become better at finding events you will enjoy in the future
Future Enhancements • Social Rocket is now 1% done. • Creating event : friend vote • Finding event: Location based, friends • History: Social Status!!
Summary • Creating a medium-fidelity helped to • implement suggested changes from lo-fi prototyping • paint a more accurate picture of what the actual app will look like • Moving forward: • Test medium-fidelity prototype • Create a hi-fidelity prototype
