Project objectives • To exploit synergies along the value chain – both ways • To enhance the adoption of improved technologies and practices for production of upland crops by integrating agronomic, economic, environmental and social factors • Improve post-harvest management, communications along the supply chain and value chain integration for maize and soybean

Achieving the project objectives • The project has 4 teams (production, socio-economics, marketing, value-chain) but there are 3 cross-cutting objectives. • Do we function as an integrated project? • Do we know enough of what the other teams are doing and what the needs of the other teams are? • How do we integrate the team activities?
