FINAL-TERM PROJECT II: GROUP PROJECT ON FOOD • Five Groups: • Chinese Food; Japanese Food; Korean Food; • Mexican Food; American Food • Two Tasks: • Cook a dish and videotape the cooking process briefly. • 3minutes long. In the video: • The Title: Dish Name in Chinese and English • Chinese Captions: Main Ingredients; Cooking Methods (such as frying, stir-frying, stewing); Cooking Time • The End: Taste the dish you made and say how you feel in Chinese • During the cooking process, short narration in Chinese is not required but encouraged.

  4. MID-TERM PROJECT II: GROUP PROJECT ON FOOD • 2. Mini-Drama (5-minute long) • Topic: A Story in Country Name Restaurant • The conversation is simple , easy to understand, and meaningful. Use as many sentence structures that we learned as possible. Each person speaks at least six lines. • Three scenes: • Before Going to The Restaurant; In The Restaurant; • After Leaving The Restaurant • - Scripts are typed in Pinyin and/or Chinese characters. • - Props are needed.

MID-TERM PROJECT II: GROUP PRESENTATION AND SKIT ON CHINESE FESTIVALS • Division of Responsibility: • Group Leader: coordinate and participate in all work • Chef: prepare and cook the dish • Photographer: make and edit the video as • required by the guideline • Script Writer: design the story, write the script, and • choreograph the mini-drama
