  1. How to create strong resume to apply in companies that hire veterans? Everyone knows that military service isn't easy, but many people don't realize how much of a sacrifice veteran have made while serving their country. Because of the sacrifices our soldiers have made, there are organizations out there that recognize this and are working to support for veterans in their post-discharge lives. There are tens of thousands of non-profit organizations that help veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families. The people who put their lives on the line for their country can depend on the support provided by each of these Veteran Support Organizations. Those who have served in the military, particularly those who have done so during wartime, form the core of a veterans' organization, also known as an ex-service organisation

  2. An ex-service organization is a non-profit organization in the United Kingdom and its former colonies dedicated to the well-being of veterans (i.e., veterans). The "local", or club, they belong to, is often a well-known meeting place and restaurant in the neighborhood, in addition to the welfare services they provide. The citation for this statement is not available. Does the Department of Veterans Affairs have any ties to VSOs? Helping veterans offices are often included in directory listings for VSOs, which are usually private organizations, but this is not always the case. Federally chartered VSOs are not created or endorsed by the federal government, but there are many VSOs throughout the country that are. According to the official website, VSO is "recognized or approved" by the Veterans Affairs Secretary "for purposes of preparing, presenting, and pursuing claims under VA laws." Visitors to the VA's official website are reminded that a federal charter does not imply VA support. Programs offered by VSOs include: The focus of each veteran service organization will vary. As an illustration, the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) provides assistance with disability claims, employment and housing services, financial assistance for qualified veterans, transition assistance from military to civilian life, and even referrals to mental health providers. Why uses a VSO? When it comes to making the most of their military benefits, a transitioning service member may require assistance for a variety of reasons. A lot of paperwork, forms, and changes to programmes can make the process feel overwhelming. The VA, the state education assistance bureau, and other agencies may require the guidance of an experienced veteran to help veterans who aren't in a rush to get their paperwork in order. Depending on the organizationthat help Veterans with all of these things and more.
