SOLAR PROJECT UPDATE • Current status: • Current project budget for solar: $4.75M • Phase 1 will be approximately $4.25M • All canopies are complete; CEI working on electrical cabling and connections • Planned power outages will take place over winter break • Cupertino Electric plans to have the systems operational by the end of January, although they contractually have until May 1, 2015

SAFETY AND SECURITY (FENCING) PROJECT UPDATE • Current status: • Current forecast for new security fencing and replacement of the existing District fencing is: $2.9M • Fencing work is proceeding at Bagby and Fammatre • Over winter break we intend to do the Farnham and Bagby office work and as much fencing work as possible close to the buildings • Plan is to complete all security project work by August 2015

PRICE CEILINGS AND LIGHTING PROJECT UPDATE • Current status: • Current project budget is: $1.1M • Work is planned to take place summer of 2015 • Design was relatively simple; Plans are at DSA for review • Additional option: It may make sense to add ceiling insulation, replace the carpet and upgrade cabinets at the same time • We are working on a detailed construction estimate to see how the budget looks with insulation and carpet

STEINDORF K-8 PROJECT UPDATE • Current status: • Current project budget for Steindorf project is: $17.5M including solar • Plans were submitted to DSA in November for review in early November 2014; Takes about 5 months • Plan is to bid and award project in April 2015 • Construction will be phased; Start construction of administration building and STEM lab building in May 2015 and renovate existing buildings after tenant departures in September 2015 • Complete construction August 2016

STEINDORF TENANT RELOCATIONS • Current status: • Goal is to have tenant spaces available by mid-July to enable late July relocations out of Steindorf • Bagby relocatable: • Plans have been approved by DSA • Team is working on construction and installation schedule with Enviroplex • More to follow

FUTURE MEASURE I PROJECTS • The Measure I projects currently in planning or construction are of high priority • Prioritization and planning of other Measure I projects is on hold until after the Steindorf K-8 project is bid out to contractors • (Bid Opening Late in April) • Having an accurate cost forecast of the Steindorf project is crucial for knowing how much Measure I funds will be available to the Governing Board for future projects

Director of Bond Construction Projects • We have four Measure I projects and Steindorf Tenant Relocation projects in motion • Potentially many more projects will begin after prioritization of remaining Measure I projects • Opportunity to hire additional staff to assist in planning, developing and overseeing implementation of all functions of Measure I Facilities Design and Construction • Reports to Superintendent and CFO and represents the District

Director of Bond Construction Projects • Will work with Citizens’ Oversight Committee • Will work with auditors for financial and performance audit of Measure I program • Salary Range: $79,574 to $94,424 • This is an action item • We recommend the Board approve the addition of this position to the classified management salary schedule • If approved, staff will move forward with filling the position
