It is an elected body to promote and provide training in Lawn Tennis to young talents, both boys and girls. It runs a residential training academy for players. But the CLTA has made sure that every talent from rural to urban areas gets the training required for playing; no matter to which social strata he or she belongs. There aretraining programsfor kids between the age of 5 to 18. You can join the training at CLTA if you have no previous training and just wish to start your coaching with experts or even if you are an academy player. There are group coaching as well as private coaching sessions. The Admission fee varies from somewhere between Rs 1500 to 15000, besides the monthly fees depending on your age and experience. The CLTA has well-maintainedtwelve courts that are for day and night training, out of which six of them arefloodlit. There are a plethora of facilities provided by the association including the CLTA Tennis stadium, Gymnasium, Hostel, Cafeteria, Media room, Health & physiotherapy. The CLTA spreads across a huge area of 300 acresin the Chandigarh Leisure Valley.   3. Hockey has been a popular game in India and the City Beautiful has the honour of having the second-largest terrace field Hockey stadiumin the entire world. The famous hockey stadium is located in the Sports Complex, Sector 42 Chandigarh. The Sports complex is spread over 40 acres of land and provides training for games like wrestling, kabaddi, judo, boxing and handball. The stadium also has a hostel within its premises and provides accommodation facilities to the trainees. It wasbuilt in 1960 and has a seating capacity of 30,000. It went through renovation once in 2007. It has been sixty years and the Hockey Stadium, Chandigarh is still not only well maintained but has grown in terms of facilities and resources. It is also famous since it had been a home ground for Chandigarh Dynamos in the Premier Hockey League and Chandigarh Comets in World Series Hockey. Some of the famous tournaments held here are: ● Asian School Hockey tournaments ● Indo Pan Am Hockey 1995 ● Indira Gandhi International Gold Cup ● National School Games ● All India Women Festival ● Indo-Uzbekistan 1977 ● Punjab Gold Cup PCA Stadium History of PCA PCA stands for Punjab Cricket Association. Before independence, it was under British rule and its headquarters were in Lahore. After independence, the state of Punjab got divided between two countries, India & Pakistan. The Punjab that came under India named its association as East Punjab Cricket Association. Later its name was changed to North Punjab Cricket Association.

  4. Punjab Cricket Association again came into existence in 1968 when Southern Punjab Cricket Association merged with North Punjab Cricket Association and was renamed as Punjab Cricket Association. Stadium The construction of the PCA stadium in Mohali started in1992on the borders of Chandigarh in Mohali. And today, it is one of the best cricket stadiums in the country. It took complete two years to change a marsh & swamp-filled area into a modern stadium with world-class amenities. It is an amazing venue with some of the best facilities for spectators and has sufficient provision for media. It has been called theliveliest pitch in the country. The memorable match between New Zealand and India where India rolled over at 83 in 1999 took place on this pitch. But in the later years, the stadium witnessed some high scorings draws which lead its pitch to being called a dead pitch. Some of the most thrilling and fill-filled matches have been held here including One day matches. The famous World Cup semi-final match in 1996 between Austral & West Indies was another historic match played on the pitch of PCA Stadium, Chandigarh.
