Take several post-it notes. Please read “Differing Sexualities in Singular Classrooms,” pages 1-4 only. Write down quotes that speak to you – one per post-it.
How do we eliminate stereotype threat and help all students succeed? • Become cultural competent (expose yourself to different cultures, become aware of your own assumptions and prejudices). • Create a “safe zone.” • Get to know your students as people. • Build trust.
