What to look for • Title page, publisher and date • Maps, helpful to find someone on the census • Schools, where your ancestor may have attended • Churches, a start to find denomination and records • Secret Benevolent Societies and Clubs, example of activities • Cemeteries, with year helps narrow down a likely burial location • Street Directory, directions of roads, address numbering system • Householders, listng by street number, occupants, others mmaylbe listed • Addendum, late additions • Master special Abbreviations, saved space but helps decipher the entires
