Application CPA-03-09 (Large Scale Map and Text Amendment): A request initiated by Alachua County to amend Conservation and Open Space Element as follows: adopt “Alachua County Floridan Aquifer High Recharge Area” map and amend Policy 4.5.3 to indicate its use and applicability; amend related Policies 4.5.4; 4.5.5.5; 4.5.19 and 5.7.8 referring to the map and zones shown on the map; amend the definition of High Aquifer Recharge Areas to refer to the new map and zones.

Meetings were held with the public at Alachua City Hall and Micanopy Town Hall.

Application CPA-03-09 (Large Scale Map and Text Amendment) COSE Policy 4.5.3The County adopts the Alachua County Floridan Aquifer High Recharge Area map. This map is for information and outreach purposes and provides a generalized indication/ depiction of relative aquifer recharge/ vulnerability and high aquifer recharge areas as general background to be used in combination with site-specific hydrogeologic assessment for development review in the unincorporated portion of the County.
