Comprehensive Services Center, Amman, Jordan, was opened under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania back in February 2007. • Our Objectives are: • The provision of integrated services necessary to protect and care for victims of domestic violence of women and children inside the center. These services include the following aspects: social, psychological, police, medical, legal, judicial and hosting. Taking into consideration that all of these services are provided to the beneficiaries free of charge, no matter how long they remain in the house. • Strengthening the partnership and networking with governmental institutions, and non-governmental organizations in order to unify all efforts and organize the national participatory work. • Preparation and implementation of preventive programs and curative and rehabilitative. • Family reconciliation between family members that suffer from domestic violence.
Our target group of social services in the field of domestic violence are: • Children who are victims of family violence, abuse and mistreat. • Women who are victims of family violence and abuse with or without their children. • Women in cases of absenteeism.
About our Center: • The Center absorptive capacity is 50 ladies with their children. • The Center accepts emergency cases throughout the cooperation with the related organizations 24/7.
Medical Services • Our in house Clinic is equipped with an integrated covered by the Ministry of Health to secure a family doctor. • The doctor provides medical treatment services in addition to basic primary medical writing reports in cases of physical abuse. • Legal Services • Our Center gives legal consultations and legal follow up for different cases in both share’a and civil courts, in cooperation with civil society organizations that offer such services. • There is close strategic partnership between our Center and Family Protection Unit. They accompany the beneficiaries to hospitals and different courts. Besides, they secure the safety and security of the beneficiaries.
Economic Empowerment: • Comprehensive Services Center seeks to empower women and girls economically during the period of their stay in the house and through: • Training on industrial sewing • Training in the art and skills of cosmetics and skin care • Training on handicraft work and embroidery accessories and the formation of straw. • We founded a family consultation unit in cooperation with UNHCR and Family Protection Unit. This unit aims to offer all the services that families and women refugees need, such as social, psychiatric, medical and legal consultations
Daily activities to support Comprehensive Services include the following activities: • Sports Lounge for physical and spiritual activities such as yoga, • Lounge for music therapy, • Hall for individual and collective psychotherapy, and, a library. • Computer Lab • Beauty • Hall of sewing • Children's activities and events.
After care services. We offer after care services for the lady and her family during 4 to 6 months after the woman leaves the Center, it depends on the case, as each case has its own circumstances. After care services are done through: - home visits, - interacting through the internet, and, - phone calls.
