  2. Write an Abstract • An abstract is a brief summary of the proposal. It includes: • The research question. • The rationale for the study (objectives). • The methodology.

  3. Introduceyourtopic. • Example: Masochismis a psychologicaldisorderthatisassociatedwithwhatiscalled the Emo style among teenagers. • Narrow down or focus yourtopic. • Example: There are severalreasonswhy teenagers are likely to develop a masochisticpersonality. Theseinclude social and academic frustrations and strict parental upbringing.

  4. Mention research objectives. • Example: This researchattempts to investigate the reasonsbehind the increasinglygrowingpsychologicaldisorder of Masochismamong teenagers. • Outline Key literature. • Example: There has been considerableamount of study about teendepression and suicide, but very few addressed the Masochisticdisorder as a major symptom of teendepression.

  5. Decide research methodology. • Example: My research tools would include statistics about the percentage of emos, an interview with a specialist in teen psychology, primary and secondary sources from the University library, and reliable online sources.

  6. Mention Your research voice. • Example: I’m going to be neutral /objectives in examining the reasons behind such phenomenon.
