  2. What is Portfolio?? A portfolio is a thoughtfully organized collection of evidence that demonstrates one’s knowledge and skills. BC government require students to develop and maintain a working portfolio as part of their professional growth and career path.

  4. Set up a portfolio: Soft copy: Everyone had to create a BLOG using Netlog.com and using your gmail address. This will show your work from grades 10-12 to universities in the future. Hard copy: You print out all the material that you need , eg: articles, photos and certification, for the portfolio and put them in a binder.

  5. Content: Arts & Design Community Involvement & Employability Skills Education & Career Planning Academic Showcase Cultural Awareness Personal Health Elective Choices

  6. Arts & Design: You must have attended a professional exhibition with Ms. Lefevr’sArt class and another exhibition with your friends or families. You must type your critique worksheet from Ms. Hadley and put it into your blog. It must write two articles at least 500 words minimum for the first one and 250 words for the second one.  Take pictures of yourself inside at the exhibition center and with your favorite art if you are allowed to take pictures of the artwork. Post on your blog

  7. Academic Showcase: Include your best piece of work from the following classes: Planning English Math Science Social Study PE Art Mandarin Math contest?Challenge Yourselves!!!

  8. Cultural Awareness: Eating Eat at an Italian, German, French, Korean, Nepalese, Japanese, Indian, Pakistani, Vegetarian, or International Restaurant from the listings in NANJING MAP MAGAZINE

  9. Clubs Volunteer work

  10. Personal Health: Physical Activity – Perform at least 20 hours of an organized/official physical activity. IT CANNOT BE P.E. CLASS Dancing? Swimming? Tae kwon do?

  11. Elected Choices: Go to a Performance Public Events Act in a Performance Participate in a Service Activity organized by a GCA teacher Religious Service Keep the ticket! You must choose at least THREE activities from the above. Each of them worth 10 marks.

  12. Go to a Performance – You must go to at least one professional concert, opera, symphony, music recital, or play. You must attach the original ticket and program to your paper to get official credit. Concerts in which the student performs will not count toward the performance

  13. Public Events – You can choose to attend from public events happening around the city, such as a fair, festival, conference, or lecture Ask others to take pictures of you at the event.

  14. Christmas concert Act in a Performance – During the Art Festival (at the end of December) or another school held event or assembly, do an original artistic performance, you may sing, play music, dance, recite poetry, or show us any skills you may have.

  15. Participate in a Service Activity organized by a GCA teacher Details depend on specific situations.

  16. Religious Service – As some western people believe in some form of religion, you have a choice to choose to attend a religious service toward your personal preference. You could choose from attending a service in Buddhism, Islam, Taoism, Catholicism, and Protestantism.
