Possessive Adjectives (cont.) • Possessive adjectives indicate ownership or relationship. • Possessive adjectives agree in number and gender with the nouns they describe. • Follow these 2 steps to determine which possessive adjective you should use: • Determine who the owner is • Make sure the adjective agrees with the noun that follows it
Comparatives • Used to compare two people or things. • In English, comparatives are formed by adding –er or by using more, less, or as. • In Spanish, we use: • más…que = more…than • menos…que = less…than • tan…como = as…as • tanto como = as much as
Irregular comparatives • mayor(es) – older • menor(es) – younger • mejor(es) – better • peor(es) – worse
