Bulgaria is situated in the south-eastern part of the Old continent, in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula. It is one of the most ancient European countries. It is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkeyto the south and the Black Sea to the east. With a territory of 110,994 square kilometres Bulgaria is Europe's 14th-largest country. Bulgaria is a parliamentary republic. It is a member of the European Union since 1st January, 2007, NATO and the Council of Europe.

ROCK FORMATIONS Belogradchik Rocks
LEVSKI Levski is a small town in the Central North Bulgaria near the town of Pleven. It is 220 km east from our capital Sofia. Levski was named after the Bulgarian Apostle of freedom Vassil Levski in 1897 and now it is an administrative center of the municipality.
The territory of Levski Municipality is an oasis of beautiful virgin nature.
Near the town there is a motor-cycle track where the Grand Prix Levski – a round of the national motor long distance race championship is conducted.
Maksim Gorki Primary school is built in 1961 and now about 350 students are trained between 7 and 14 years old by 28 teachers. The school has got one main building based on two floors and two additional buildings – one for students aged 7-8 years old and the other one is our gym.
Two foreign languages are taught in Maksim Gorki Primary school - English and German. We have 17 rooms including a Science study, a Music room, a Foreign language study, two Computer studies and a canteen
