  4. 15.18.1 Algumas abreviaturas que passaram a fazer parte da fraseologia, devido a sua ampla utilização, poderão ser pronunciadas como se escrevem, em vez de utilizar-se o alfabeto fonético. AFIL : Air-filed [after takeoff] flight plan. ACAS: Air-Collision Avoidance System.

  7. PAPI, RNAV, SELCAL: SID, SIGMET:Weather advisory service to warn of potentially hazardous (significant) extreme meteorological conditions dangerous to most aircraft, eg extreme turbulence, severe icing, dense fog. SPECI: especially Metar. STAR, TCAS, VASIS, VOLMET, WILCO.

  8. 15.18.2 Algumas abreviaturas e códigos serão transmitidos, pronunciando-se cada letra em forma não fonética. Ex.: ACC, ADF, AFTN: Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunications Network . CB, DME, ETA, ETD, GCA, HF, IFR, ILS, IMC, MLS : Microwave landing system (Sistema de Pouso por Micro-ondas) . NDB, SSR, TMA, UHF, VFR, VHF, VMC, VOR.

  9. NOTA: Os grupos de código Q falados, que, devido ao seu uso frequente, já se tornaram parte da terminologia aeronáutica, poderão ser usados onde proporcionarem uma alternativa mais adequada a frases longas e complexas. Ex.: QFE, QNE, QDR, QNH, QDM.
