  6. SAICM - How else does Industry contribute? High Production Volume (HPV) Chemicals Initiative The ICCA HPV Chemicals Initiative is a voluntary action by chemical companies, primarily in Europe, Japan and North America, to deliver globally harmonized data and initial hazard assessments for some 1,000 High Production Volume (HPV) chemicals. Long-range Research Initiative (LRI) Its mission is to identify and fill gaps in our understanding of the hazards posed by chemicals and to improve the methods available for assessing the associated risks. SusChemThe technologies and activities covered by SusChem will be at the heart of future sustainable development initiatives and are critical to continuing and increasing competitiveness of European enterprises across all sectors.
