Computer Fertigkeiten frs Leben Die European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) ist der Welt fhrendes Computer-Fertigkeiten-Zertifizierungs-Programm und ist der globale Masstab fr Computer-Fertigkeiten ECDL ist ein international anerkanntes Zertifikat, welches besttigt, dass der Besitzer die Fhigkeit besitzt, einen Personal Computer und die meist verwendeten Applikationen anzuwenden und die wichtigsten Begriffe der IT kennt.

Equalskills fits right at the bottom providing for a first step in to IT Literacy. ECDL and the seven modules it certifys is by definition the Standard for IT Literacy. ECDL Advanced, allows candidates and employers to define expertise in specific IT Skills. Similarily, application specific certificates like ECDL CAD will establish standards in this area. At the top of the pyramid there are professional IT Qualifications that can be provided via third level organisation or recognised IT training organisations. The Irish Computer Society provides recognition and representation for members of the IT Profession. ECDL CTP provides a kite mark for ECDL Training Skills that will validate a trainers ability to provide the highest standard of IT training at any level in the pyramid.
