  1. Installing the UV Lamp

  2. Safety • Shut down the machine completely by pushing the OFF button in the operation panel. • On the UV system power cabinet, padlock the main isolator in the ‘OFF’ position. Confidential

  3. Installing the UV Lamp • In order to hinge up the lamp head cover, you have to pull and rotate the locker pin on both sides. Confidential

  4. Installing the UV Lamp (Cont.) • Disconnect the air pressure to the machine, then open the shutter manually to gain access to the lamp socket. Confidential

  5. Installing the UV Lamp (Cont.) • Release the lamp retaining plates by unclipping the slide latches. Confidential

  6. Installing the UV Lamp (Cont.) • Do not touch the lamp, as skin acids will permanently mark the quartz sleeve. • It is recommended to wear cotton gloves or to cut the nylon package only on the edges as shown. Confidential

  7. Inserting the Lamp • Note: This procedure must be preformed by two people. • Connect the lamp to its terminal. • Connect the yellow cable to the lamp terminal and secure it tightly. Confidential

  8. Inserting the Lamp (Cont.) • Placethe lamp at its location, as shown in the picture. Confidential

  9. Inserting the Lamp (Cont.) • Place the lamp retaining plates and secure the slide latches. • Verify that the lamp can move freely (a few millimeters to the sides) • Note: the lamp expands towards the sides during operation. Confidential

  10. Inserting the Lamp (Cont.) • Cut the rest of the nylon package. • Hinge down the lamp head cover. • Close the lockers pin. • Switch on the air and electrical supplies. • Check the shutter operation. Confidential
